This dark and freezing January I have, to my embarrassment, become addicted to the BBC reality television show The Traitors, in which 22 strangers are sent to a staggeringly beautiful castle in the Scottish Highlands to surreptitiously murder one another for prize money. Think Big Brother meets Murder on the Orient Express, with a dash of The Crystal Maze.
