Welcome to Regent’s Park, it announced, “Home to the last breeding population of hedgehogs in central London”. All at once the sun went in, and I felt a shadow fall over us. Has it really come to this? In a city full of such vast wealth, technical resources and human talent, is there really no other home for these delightful, helpful, unobtrusive animals?
