The demonstration wound through the streets of York. “What do we want?” the children chanted. “Climate justice. When do we want it? Now.” Pausing outside Lush Cosmetics, the youthful voices suddenly quietened, and in the silence we heard another youngster’s cry – the wailing, “food-begging” call of a young peregrine falcon. Somewhere, high above York’s central business district, an adolescent peregrine was soliciting a meal from its parents.
