All of us working on The Tablet consider ourselves a family, so it seems right, as we look ahead to books coming out in 2026, to start with those by our closest contributors and friends.
Perhaps most exciting of these (and actually published just before Christmas) is Easter in Disguise: The 2026 Bloomsbury Lent Book (December 2025, Bloomsbury Continuum, 176 PP, £10.99) by Liz Dodd – once on the Tablet staff, now a Sister of St Joseph of Peace and one of this country’s youngest nuns. Here, she blends contemporary spirituality and scriptural reflection in offering a vibrant take on an ancient season. Those of you who follow Liz’s columns in The Tablet will know that you can expect to be moved, surprised, provoked.
