The first World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly last week prompted me to return to this book published in 2019. Most bishops look over their shoulder before they make their pronouncements, but the Auxiliary Bishop of Astana, Kazakhstan, Athanasius Schneider (inset), is fearless.
