With a premise both simple and of limitless complexity, Bishop’s Move might be either tragedy or comedy. Thanks to the previous incumbent’s disgrace (“the shell-shocked man was sent to a parish in Sheffield not only to work with the poor, but to live amongst them”), Christopher Hegarty has become bishop by default.
