Fr Terry Tastard has been a priest of Westminster diocese for 30 years. He previously worked as a journalist in South Africa. He is the author of several books, including a biography of Ronald Knox and a book of meditations based on contemporary icons of the resurrection. His most recent book is Nightingale’s Nuns and the Crimean War, about the religious sisters who shared the horrors of that war as they worked with Nightingale to mitigate its suffering, and to bring nursing the professional recognition it deserved.
