TV: in search of birdsong in Ireland

Birdsong (12 March and iPlayer) followed Irish ornithologist Seán Ronayne who is travelling all over Ireland recording every birdsong in his country.
Alba is a devoted companion though clearly not quite as excited as Seán by the sighting of a rare guillemot. On their first date, she recalls, she couldn’t get him to talk about his feelings, only about birds. But it didn’t deter her – and even the goldfinch in the freezer didn’t put her off.
