On Falling focuses on an isolated Portuguese immigrant called Aurora (Joana Santos) who’s living in shared accommodation and barely getting by on what she earns.
The knowledge that someone’s full-time working conditions could reduce them to such a bleak existence should provoke outrage and condemnation, especially when we watch how the company offers the workers balloons and cupcakes with lividly coloured icing in celebration of its massive worldwide sales.
