SKY HISTORY

The Stuarts are riding high on Sky at the moment. Last week it was James I in Mary & George; this week it’s James’ grandson Charles II returning from exile in 1660 in Royal Kill List. The programme tells the story, via three actors and some graphically re-enacted historical-ish scenes, of how Charles II persuaded Parliament to allow the hunting down and killing of seven of the men who had signed the death warrant in 1649 that had sent his father to the executioners’ block.
