You may think you don’t know any Snow Patrol songs, but you almost certainly do. There was a time when you couldn’t go into a pub or wine bar without hearing the power ballad “Run”, and, yes, it always felt like you had something in your eye. Then, in the summer of 2006, it was hard to get away from songs like “You’re All I Have”, “Open Your Eyes” and the glorious “Chasing Cars”, largely because they were all appropriated for TV shows, most obviously “Chasing Cars” in the emotional finale to Grey’s Anatomy, but also everywhere from Gavin & Stacey to Big Brother.
