Pope prays at Mass for St Pius X

Pope Francis marked the feast day of St Pius X on Friday last week by attending a morning Mass at his altar in St Peter’s Basilica. The Mass was celebrated by Mgr Lucio Bonora who was informed the Pope was praying at the altar, but told to say Mass as usual. Pope Francis told him he has a strong devotion to St Pius X, and prayed especially for catechists, since in Buenos Aires the feast serves as the Day of Catechists.
