Bishops oppose polio vaccine plan

Kenya’s bishops are urging Catholics to boycott a campaign by the UN and the Government to vaccinate up to six million infants against polio, less than a year after they enacted a similar drive against a tetanus inoculation programme. The Government insists the vaccine from the World Health Organization and Unicef is safe but the bishops say it has not been sufficiently tested.
