Pope Francis has appealed for the release of an Italian Jesuit priest and two Orthodox bishops kidnapped in Syria two years ago, writes Ellen Teague. Fr Paolo Dall’Oglio, 60, disappeared on 29 July 2013 in the city of Raqqa, now a stronghold of Islamic State.
