It’s been the major topic of conversation in Rome ever since news filtered out last weekend. The “filial correction” of Pope Francis by a group of priests and academics has caused ructions inside the Vatican. It was immediately followed by a swirl of news stories alleging that Vatican internet servers were trying to block people from accessing the web to add their own name to those who wanted to correct the Pope. The Holy See explained that the blocking had just been the automatic triggering of a filter preventing requests for personal information.
