I am a Christian because I am convinced of certain truths about the nature of God and his plan for his creation. The heart of that plan is revealed at Christmas and Epiphany with the coming into the world of God’s son who brings new life and understanding to all who will receive it. This new life is quite simply to know and love God as our father and each other as his children. And being a Christian, being the Church, means taking that truth so deeply into your heart and mind that it becomes part of our natural outlook. It means both learning how to live and helping others to discover how to live.
