[Our] soul shall never have rest till it comes to him, knowing that he is fullness of joy, homely and courteous, blessed and our very life.
Our Lord Jesus frequently said: ‘It is I, it is I, it is I who is the most exalted, it is I whom you love, it is I whom you rejoice in, it is I whom you serve, it is I whom you long for, it is I whom you desire, it is I whom you mean, it is I who is all. It is I about whom the Holy Church preaches and teaches you, it is I who shewed myself here to you.’
