Legalising assisted dying would open door to euthanasia, warn peers


In a report published on 5 November Baroness Butler-Sloss, Lord Carlile QC and Lord Brennan QC warned that a Private Member's Bill tabled by the former Lord Chancellor, Lord Falconer, would 'fundamentally change' law on suicide and could mean Parliament write a 'blank cheque' for euthanasia.
