In warsaw IN 2013, at the UN interim climate talks, Yeb Sano, leader of the Filipino delegation, begged world leaders to make a binding commitment to reduce carbon emissions to stop further global warming. At the time, Sano’s country and home town were reeling from Typhoon Haiyan. He promised to fast on the first of every month until such a decision was taken.
