Special gift to the community

Most parishes today have in place the physical arrangements that will help people with a disability who come to Mass. But sometimes a gentle reminder is in order of how disabled Catholics can contribute THE PURPOSE of a triduum – a three-day period of prayer, usually before an important feast – is to recall the three days Christ spent in the tomb. In the case of the Paschal Triduum that we approach in the coming Holy Week, the festival in question is obviously Easter Day. But a parish can arrange a triduum at other times, with another focus in line with the death and Resurrection of our Lord.Inspired by the Paralympics, our parish in Cape Town, South Africa, decided to have a triduum based on the theme of “the gift of disability” consisting of three evening servic
