Two ways of giving

It is good to give money to worthy causes, but the Christian vocation requires more than that – believers are meant to give of their time, of themselves. The Caritas roadshows open a window on what is possible Pope francis reminds us that instead of simply (albeit generously) giving money to those who find themselves at the peripheries of our society, Christians are called to show particular solidarity with the most vulnerable. This loving service – or caritas – is and always has been fundamental to the Church’s social teaching.
