Going into hospital is bad enough for adults, let alone for children. So Fr Peter-Michael Scott and Jane Morgan have produced a booklet entitled “My Hospital Prayer and Activities” to prepare children for their hospital visit and provide comfort and entertainment during their stay. Fr Scott is the Archbishop of Westminster’s adviser on health-care chaplaincy as well as programme consultant for health-care chaplains at St Mary’s University College, Twickenham. Along with prayers, he invites children to work through a range of activities and craft tasks with members of their family, visitors and the hospital chaplain. These include making a paper boat and life jacket for Jesus’ disciples and learning about the sacraments. The book, published by Redemptorist Pub
