The mayor of London has become the latest public figure to praise Pope Francis. Asked of his opinion of the Pope, Boris Johnson told us: “He is doing a bang-up job,” adding, “he seems to be very successful and popular.” Mr Johnson, who was baptised Catholic, was speaking at an interfaith reception at City Hall for representatives of the three monotheistic religions.
