Welcoming the female dean


 
Officially, ordination of women in the Catholic Church is not to be discussed. Yet on the ground the Church in England and Wales is regularly in contact with female clergy from the Church of England. Earlier this summer, in Salisbury, a Corpus Christi procession took place that included the female Dean of Salisbury, June Osborne. According to the Catholic Women’s Ordination newsletter, the dean took part in leading the 500-strong procession behind the monstrance alongside Catholic priests
