Safe at the Oratory


 
THE LONDON Oratory School is an old hand at educating children of the powerful. At the beginning of this term, the son of Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg started at the school, where, from 1995 to 2006, three of the four children of the former Prime Minister, Tony Blair, were taught. Now a book commemorating the oratory’s 150th anniversary has revealed how educating the Blair children “did add a few extra security considerations”. These included the installation of a red telephone at the reception desk with a direct line to the police.
