The former Chairman of the BBC, Lord Chris Patten, has gone on the offensive recently about proposed changes to the corporation’s funding. The Government has announced an eight-member review panel to assess the BBC’s future, which Lord Patten described as a group of “assistant gravediggers appointed to bury the BBC”.
