Another religious order in Britain is planning to downsize. The Sisters of the Congregation of La Retraite are moving out of Emmaus House in the centre of Bristol, from where they have run retreats and courses for over 40 years.The congregation has decided to take the “realistic” decision to sell the house (pictured above) and to continue its work at a smaller property in the village of Whitchurch, on the southern edge of the city.
