Globe in the spotlight


 
Actors including Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams (pictured) and Stanley Tucci are reportedly in talks to star in the Tom McCarthy film on the clerical sexual-abuse scandal in Boston. The Boston Globe won the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for its coverage of the scandal, with Ruffalo and McAdams being lined up to play the reporters on the newspaper.But the focus of the Globe these days is not so much exposing scandal in the Church but bolstering its coverage of all things Catholic. Earlier this year, the paper hired former National Catholic Reporter journalist John Allen as associate editor and next month is launching Crux, a new website dedicated specifically to the Church.
