Speaking of living arrangements, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone appears to have gone off-message with his. The Holy See’s former Secretary of State is moving into a 6,500sq ft flat, almost 10 times larger than the quarters of his neighbour, Pope Francis, in the Domus Sanctae Marthae guesthouse. According to La Repubblica, the cardinal is due to take over his new home in the summer after extensive building work to convert two flats into a single apartment. One of them was previously occupied by the widow of the former Vatican gendarmerie inspector general, Camillo Cibin; the other by Archbishop Bruno Bertagna, vice-president of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts.
