One question on the agenda of this year’s Synod on Marriage and the Family will be how to pass on the faith to the children of gay couples. Fr Edmund Montgomery, 29, an assistant priest at the Church of Our Lady and St Christopher in Stockport, has signalled a special interest in the topic by announcing on Twitter that he has baptised at least two babies of same-sex couples.
