Apple’s late founder, Steve Jobs, practised Zen Buddhism, and Google teaches its employees how to meditate, but now it seems that Silicon Valley executives are turning to the Benedictine tradition for advice.Br David Steindl-Rast, a monk of Mount Saviour Monastery in Pine City, New York, has been invited to address the Wisdom 2.0 Conference in San Francisco, next month. The conference, which features yoga teachers and Zen masters as well as senior executives from Google and Facebook, focuses on merging wisdom and technology. As well as breakout sessions and workshops, yoga and meditation rooms are offered.
