Pakistani protests after attack

Thousands of Christians in Pakistan have taken part in protests and vigils to demand the Government take action following a double suicide bombing at an Anglican church in Peshawar

Pope Francis has warned bishops against the Church "cancer" of a careerist mentality, telling them to dedicate themselves to the diocese where they serve and not aspire to be promoted to one that is more appealing.

The Pope says he still does not know Rome well but on visits before he was elected, he would visit the Church of St Louis of France where he would contemplate the painting of ‘The Calling of St Matthew,’ by Caravaggio.
