Poland’s Catholic Primate has said his Church has ended dialogue with Russian Orthodox leaders because of their backing of President Vladimir Putin’s policies toward Ukraine, writes Jonathan Luxmoore.
Archbishop Wojciech Polak of Gniezno told The Tablet the Church had sought “a common path” with Russian Orthodoxy, but had been forced by recent events to ask “profound questions” on future contacts.
