Liverpool Hope honours novelist


An award-winning author has been awarded an honorary degree by Liverpool Hope University, writes Christopher Lamb. Marilynne Robinson, who won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for Gilead, received her award from the joint Catholic and Anglican institution in Liverpool this week. She told graduating students at a ceremony at the Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral to remember they “have a mind capable of more than you know”.
