Strange appointed Professor of Theology at St Mary’s

The former Rector of the Pontifical Beda College in Rome, Mgr Roderick Strange, has been appointed Professor of Theology at St Mary’s University College in Twickenham.

Mgr Strange, who was also a member of the Theology Faculty at Oxford University, will take up the post at the start of the next academic year. In January he was named a Visiting Professor at the university in south-west London.

Francis Campbell, Vice-Chancellor of St Mary’s University, said he was delighted by the appointment. “His expert grasp of theology and high standing in academia will be a tremendous asset to our School of Theology and to the university at large,” he added.

Mgr Strange said: “I look forward to joining St Mary’s as a Professor in Theology. The permanent role will allow a deeper exploration of how faith contributes to learning.”
