William FittallThe Church of England’s Secretary General of the General Synod, William Fittall, is to step down in November.

Mr Fittall, 61, is a career-long civil servant whose appointments included Private Secretary to the Northern Ireland Secretary and head of the Counter-Terrorism Division of the Home Office.
