In or Out?
While I favour our continued membership of the EU, Brian Wicker (Letters, 5 March) perpetrates a common error with his extraordinary claim that “if they [Eurosceptics] have their way, Europe will be engulfed in war all over again”. Since 1945 the EU has been made up of democracies (which have increased in number since the fall of the Berlin Wall). It is inconceivable that any of them might want to attack a fellow European power.
