I am not barred from receiving Holy Communion, but I’ve often wondered whether I should desist until everyone of good will who wants to receive, is embraced at the table. I know I’m not spiritually or morally superior to people who have dealt with difficult marriage situations, so why should I be able to receive, and not them?
