Contrary to Michael Glover’s assertion (Letters, 17 October) that neither priests nor laity of the Diocese of Lancaster were consulted as part of the bishops’ survey on marriage and family life, an email was issued by the Bishop’s Office on 17 December 2014 inviting the director for clergy ongoing formation to pass on to the deans the national Bishops’ Conference reflection document for the clergy for distribution to all clergy for use in their local deanery conferences.
