Succour to terrorists


 
Your editorial (“Corbyn breaks another mould”, 8 August) is far too indulgent of Jeremy Corbyn, the left-wing Labour leadership candidate. Like all media, you ignore the fact that he is soft on terrorism. Two weeks after the Brighton bomb [in 1984], Corbyn invited members of the IRA to the House of Commons. At a more recent meeting in the House of Commons, he said it was his “pleasure” and “honour” to welcome “our friends from Hezbollah”, while also referring to “our friends from Hamas”. He has called Raed Salah, leader of the northern branch of the Islamic Movement in Israel, a “very honoured citizen”.
