The French bishops’ Family and Society Council rightly observes that singles have been ignored by the Synod of Bishops on the Family (The Church in the World, 7 March). When I attend Mass I observe many single men and women sitting alone. I also attend by myself, as my husband is a Protestant who attends his own church.
