Women on the margins


 
Well done, Dr Jacqueline Field-Bibb (Letters, 21 February). The rightful place of women in our Church will certainly not be addressed until there are no holds barred against what women may or may not do if they are called, and this of course must include ministerial ordination.Although I and many others believe that the priesthood must change before most women with this vocation would want to be ordained, the suggestion that women don’t want priesthood is surely refuted by the fact that letters came to The Tablet from every corner of Britain denying the truth of this statement.
