Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor’s reminiscence of Pope John Paul II was heart-warming (“Sing-song with Wojtyla and other saintly encounters”, 26 April). However, it seems a pity that the English-speaking prelates hadn’t thought of the more robust and evocative “Danny Boy” to sing.
