A fairly small number of US bishops have determined to employ precisely that practice in their territories and writings. Cardinal Raymond Burke was one of the early church officials to step across the line of good judgement and pastoral sensitivity in his efforts to intimidate leadership and faithful to use the reception of the Eucharist as a weapon.
