Thank you for your inspirational articles (22 March) about two “men of conscience”. Martin Newell (“My small way of being in solidarity”, 22 March), by his witness and willingness to suffer imprisonment, is a modern-day martyr doing our truly priestly dirty work for us. No charity can legally support his political activities, but if any readers wish to support the work of the London Catholic Worker in providing food and shelter for asylum seekers and the destitute, the Living Word Trust (Registered charity no. 1013237) is happy to pass on Gift-Aided donations (and others of course) for this specific purpose: livingwordtrust@gmail.com will provide the necessary forms and answer questions.Simon Bryden-Brook, The Living Word Trust, 1 Carysfort House, 14 West
