The Church of England synod has voted overwhelmingly to support the motion that its investment policies should be aligned with its policies on climate change and to establish a working group to monitor this and other environmental matters. It reaffirmed its commitment to play a leading role in the efforts to tackle dangerous climate change. One wonders what the position is of the Catholic Church in this country in respect of climate change and other key environmental issues.
