You struck the right note in your preview of the Irish referendum on abortion (19 May). The Irish have engaged in serious and principled debate, not only about the morality of abortion itself but, rather, about Article 8’s prevention of pregnant women exercising choice for themselves. By a large majority the Yes side won. That does not end the moral debate.
