Theology unimportant for Quakers


As a Quaker who enjoys reading The Tablet, I understand the importance Sue Oakley places on personal conscience and discernment. 

For Quakers, theology is unimportant. 

We don’t have any creed and therefore don’t waste our energies on theological disputes.

As our book of discipline says, Quakers commit themselves ‘not to a word but to a way’.
