Madam,
I agreed with your leader (May fails to make a balanced case, 10 October) and agree with the comments made.
I found her speech chilling and disingenuous and I was surprised at her rather unchristian rhetoric.
Of course there are problems but the rather xenophobic tone did her subject an injustice and its negativity was to be condemned I was surprised because I have always found her a strong and credible home Secretary.
Our Church I feel in this respect is a bastion of good practice.
We may have numerous other challenges which are being identified as we speak but welcoming people from other countries is not one of them.
We are I feel a generous universal community and hopefully this emanates from all our parishes, it certainly does with mine and it is an on going pleasure to witness others individual contributions to the life of the local Church.
