Towey reinstated after suspension12 January 2013
A senior lecturer suspended by a leading Catholic university college has been reinstated. In September, Dr Anthony Towey, who was head of the school of theology, philosophy and history at St Mary's University College, Twickenham, was informed that he was being suspended "pending investigations into a very serious disciplinary matter and a grave breach of his professional duties to the college"."
In a statement on Wednesday St Mary's said they "can confirm that Anthony has returned to campus this week. There are still some matters to be resolved regarding the details of his return, but the University College is looking forward to a swift and positive outcome for all parties."
